Our Metal Fabrication Process
Step 1: Engineering & Design
During the design and engineering phase, we work closely with you to gain an understanding of your specific needs and the requirements for your particular application. This stage may include building prototypes and running feasibility studies to help determine the right materials and design to achieve your goals for part performance and appearance. Using computer-aided design having both AutoCAD and Solidworks software allows us to take a 3D model of your part and translate that design concept into computerized instructions that our machinery will follow to accuratley generate your product
Step 2: Cutting
The cutting process is often the very first step in metal fabrication. Depending on the project specifications and thickness of the material, determines our choice in cutting methods:
- 5 Axis Waterjet
- Shearing
- Sawing
Step 3: Forming
By manipulating the metal into different shapes, this allows us to create angles and arcs into your fabrication project. Other processes that fall under this category in which we proudly have the capability of performing is Folding, Bending, Stamping, and punching
Step 4:Welding/Assembly
Once we are at the end of the fabrication process our certified welders begin attaching the metal to form a separate steel section or build a large structure by welding the piece being built. Here at Total Maintenance Solutions we offer a wide range of services. We are a team of highly experienced professional steel fabricators. With welding being the most common process to complete an assembly, our team also can perform options such as binding with adhesives, using thread fasteners, riveting, and bending in the form of a crimped seam.
